Google Apps for Education Workshop in Cashton, WI

Ben, Sean and I had a great day with the teachers in Cashton, WI as we shared about Google Apps for Education and the amazing uses for administrators, teachers and students.  We all were energized to work with an entire district of teachers who all had the opportunity to engage in the same learning.  Using Google Apps for Education this small community of just 1,000 people will be able to communicate, collaborate and share with people outside their classroom and community walls.

Superintended Brad Saron commented that the teachers attitude and posture towards Google Apps went "From leaning back to leaning forward" by the end of the workshop.  People left energized, excited and full of ideas.

You can read more about his thoughts on the workshop and application of the tools at these two blog posts.

Appy New Year!

Yesterday, four Highlands Elementary Students and I presented at the Edina Ed Fund's winter Luncheon.  It was our treat to be able to share some of the ways that the elementary students have been learning using the iPod Touch.  Each of the students had a chance to share how they use the Apps, how it engages them in learning, and why they think learning with the iTouch is better than without it.

Here is our presentation and some photos from the event.  Way to go Highlands Elementary kiddos!

Here is our presentation script as well...
